About
My name is Carrie Lewis and I am currently studying Political Science at the University of Pittsburgh. I am also earning the Arts and Sciences Leadership Certificate. I am also applying for graduate school for the fall of 2008 where I plan to study public policy with a concentration in environment, science, and technology. I have had two internships with two Pennsylvania state representatives, one of whom is still representing his district in Pittsburgh. I am also involved in Pitt’s environmental group, Free the Planet. In the past, I have been involved in Emerging Leaders and Society of Success and Leadership.
I became interested in the topic of RDDs after I took a class that focused on weapons of mass destruction. Since then, I have read various articles and studies that talk about the threat of RDDs and what type of prevention that the United States government is taking to avoid such an attack.
