My name is Carrie Lewis and I am currently studying Political Science at the University of Pittsburgh. I am also earning the Arts and Sciences Leadership Certificate. I am applying to graduate school for the fall of 2008 where I plan on studying public policy with a concentration in environment, science, and technology. I have had two internships with Pennsylvania state representatives during my academic career at Pitt one of whom still represents his district in Pittsburgh. I am also involved with Pitt’s environmental group, Free the Planet. In the past, I have been involved with Emerging Leaders and the Society of Success and Leadership.
I became interested on the topic of RDDs after I took a class that focused on weapons of mass destruction. Since then, I have read various studies and articles that show the threat of RDDs and what the United States is doing to prevent such an attack from occurring.
